Environment Public Authority: Legal Action Taken Against an Individual Who Dumped Waste in the Marine Environment at Umm Al Maradim Island

As part of its efforts to protect the marine environment and preserve natural resources, the Environment Public Authority (EPA) monitored a video circulating on social media showing a visitor to Umm Al Maradim Island disposing of waste into the marine environment.

In coordination with the Coast Guard Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, the violator was identified and summoned. The necessary legal measures were taken against him, and an environmental violation report was issued in accordance with the laws and regulations governing environmental protection.

The EPA reaffirmed its commitment to monitoring and addressing all practices and behaviors that harm the marine or terrestrial environment, and to taking legal action against those responsible. The Authority also urged everyone to help preserve the environment and contribute to protecting its resources for future generations.
